Balass is a demon who appeared in the 1990 art book The Devilman. He's never been seen in any official story material.

Appearance

Balass resembled a large aquatic humanoid covered from head to toe in scales, with a bulky and domineering body. He had small eyes and webbed hands and toes. His head, arms, back legs and shoulders were lined with sharp ridged fins.

Abilities

Based on his design alone, Balass was probably very strong and capable of swimming and breathing underwater.

Trivia

• Balass is one of four demons who appeared in The Devilman and were, at the time, unused; the other three were Elephas, Lagudra, and Mearmo. Lagudra is the only one of the four who has since been used, as she appeared in the manga Devilman Lady.
